A fairy lost in Smallville

Anna was a little fairy-princess, but she had no wings to fly with. She was completely wingless.
But that didn't hinder her, she only asked for her butterfly-friend Diego, whenever she needed to go somewhere.
And then he would come flying to her. She used to hear his flappy wings outside her window every morning. And when she got out, he would ask her where she wanted to go. And that was it.
Anna loved to sit on his back while he flyed across the land.
To see the beatifull landscape from up in the air, was completely wonderful. She had gotten quite used to it to.
But this day hadn't turned out so good.
Instead of the wonderful flowers of her homeland, all she could she was fields, everywhere. And she didn't know where she was. She was definitely not in her homeland anymore, so where could she be then?
A big storm had taken place today. An enormous tornado. It had driven Anna and Diego away from their precious land, far, far away from the fairy-kingdom. And now...
    Where where they?
It was raining this cold autumn-night, and that was not good, especially not for a fairy and a butterfly. That meant trouble for them.
They had to get cover quick, before the raining got any worse. It was dangerous to fly around out in the rain, because if a drop hit you, things didn't turn out so well.
Anna could see a farm from a little distance. She looked down at Diego's head from where she sat on his back between his wings. He was flying zigzag, trying to avoid the raindrops.
"Get me to that farm, Diego." Anna stated, "Maybe there's some nice people there, who would let us stay over for the night? I'm exausted."
"But your majesty." Diego protested, "There's humans in there. Everyone in the fairy-kingdom knows that humans are dangerous and are not to interact with."
    Anna sighed,
"This time we have no choice, Diego. We can't stay out here in the cold much longer, or we're gonna get sick. We have to get some help. We could ask if they know a way back to our kingdom."
"Are you completely sure, your majesty?"
    Anna nodded,
"Yes, we have to be brave, or we'll never get home."
"Wery well, princess." Here we go." taking off towards the farm."

Soon, Anna could see a yellow house there, once they got closer, and a barn too,
"I think they live in there." Anna suggested, pointing to the yellow house, "Land me in front of the door, please."
"As you wish, your majesty." sliding down.

Once she was down at the big stair, in front of the high door, she cast a quick look on Diego, who flapped his wings beside her. Always in the air. She then noticed a door-bell high upon the wall,
    "Diego, sir?"
"To your service, princess." the butterfly humble said.
"Could you reach the door-bell up there?" pointing.
"Of course, your highness." flying up towards it. With all of his might, he pushed it down with his legs. It came a ringing-sound from inside.
Anna then heard some footsteps, and backed away from the door, so that she wasen't in the way,
    "Thank you, Diego." she smiled."
"My pleasure, princess." flying down towards her again, "But I think I stay in the barn for the moment. If you need me, you'll find me there."
Anna turned up a sad look,
"Why wouldn't you go inside with me?" she asked with concern, "We should stick together in a time like this. We're in a strange country after all."
"I'm sorry, princess... but I'm not showing my presence before a human."
    "But..."
"Farwell." flying of towards the barn.
"Diego." looking sadly after him, where he dissappeard into the rain.
Then the door opened, and Anna looked up to see a tall man with brown hair coming out. She took a few steps backwards, feeling nervous. The only problem was that he couldn't see her at first, because of the little size she was. If only she had wings so that she could fly up to his face.
"Hello?" it came from the young man, who took a few steps out on the stair, while Anna hurried away from his feet. She couldn't let him step on her by accident. How silly it would be to die that way.
"Anybody there?" the human asked, looking to both sides.
Anna still stood her ground in front of him. She was not about to give up just because he didn't see her at first,
"Down here." she shouted, waving her arms at him.
The man immediately looked down, finaly noticing her. He carefully went down on his knees, his face softened by the sight of her,
    "And who are you?"
"I'm Anna." the fairy-princess humbly replied, "I got driven away from my kingdom. I need help to get back. Perhaps you can?"
"You look so cold..." scooping her up in his hands, "Of course I'll help you." raising to his feet, "I'll take you inside."
    "Thank you."
